"Sound and Fury....Is Anybody Feelin Me?!"

I got back last night from my Sound and Fury trip. It was really fun and I had a pretty good time in and outside of the show. We left Wednesday afternoon and stayed the night at Emily's sister's house in Phoenix. The next morning we drove to Oxnard, CA, checked into our hotel, met up with a friend who lives in Oxnard, went to the beach, got pizza at a great place called Toppers, hung out with our Tucson friends at our pool, then saw Funny People at midnight.

The next day we went to Sound and Fury. The line to get in was so long, I'm pretty sure we waited in line for about two hours. The bands I was excited to see that played on day one were The Carrier, The Mongoloids, Trapped Under Ice, Mother of Mercy, Downpresser, and Blacklisted. The only thing that sucked about day one was there was no re-entry at the venue, which at a fest is the stupidest thing ever.

Day two of Sound and Fury was much better, there was re-entry and no line to get in. Good bands that played that day were Bracewar, Title Fight, Cold World, Swamp Thing, Mind Eraser, Bad Seed, and of course, Floorpunch. Floorpunch was amazing and everything I hoped it would be. It was incredible to finally see them since I never thought I would.

Day three of Sound and Fury was way stupid. We went to the venue when it opened only to buy merch then left to get Starbucks with our friend from Vegas. We returned to the venue, saw Shook Ones and Reign Supreme then left. Shook Ones were amazing as usual. It was my first time seeing Reign Supreme, I thought they played great and they even covered "You Vandal" by Saves the Day.

The next day we drove to LA, checked into our hotel, then went to a billion streetwear boutiques in the area. Then we went to the Beverly Center mall. A lot of great suprises came from going there. I found a Marc jacobs polo I had wanted for so long but was sold out everywhere online and I had my first drink from Coffee Bean, which was wonderful and I'm bummed Tucson doesn't have one. Later that night we saw Whatever Works then went to Fatburger.

Tuesday we drove home and stopped by some outlets so I could go to Burberry and David could get Nikes and Columbia jackets. We arrived home around 7:30 then I went straight to see Mother of Mercy, Title Fight, and Foundation at the YMCA.

It was a great weekend, I'm really glad I went.
