Lucky
So last night I'm out at 4 a.m. eating Viva at a park with a girl and we go to leave and two seconds down the street a cop pulls me over. He said I didn't fully stop at a stop sign and some other shit, then asks if my parents know I have their car. I tell him probably not, so he calls them to ask if it's cool. Suprisingly, they say yes. So he gives me back my stuff and tells me just to watch out for stop signs. He asked us what we were doing and I told him eating Viva and he got all stoked and started talking about how much he loves it. I think the Viva part kind of saved me from getting a ticket. That is so awesome, I wish all cops were as cool as him.

Like it or Not
Pussy, Money, Weed
I start work tomorrow, for real. My last day of training was Friday and starting Monday is the real deal. I turned in my part time paperwork because there's no way at all I can work from 4 to 12:30 am everyday. It's going to be really shitty if I do, and i'll probably be the most bitter, pissed off person on Earth if I have to work that late every night and wake up at 8 for school every morning. I hate call centers, but I like money.

The stress is finally over
I passed my final at work today, so I can keep my job. I needed an 80% or better and I got an 88%. I'm really stoked and I seriously thought I was going to fail. Also, Sticks and Stones finally came yesterday, and it's red! I was beyond happy when I opened it since it's been worrying me so much lately, haha, School is off to a good start too, I can't complain about anything right now. My life is almost perfect.

Gay
School starts again tomorrow, woo hoo. I actually don't even mind, it's something about going to school that doesn't make me feel like a complete piece of shit every day when I wake up. I feel alive and well when I go to school, like I've sort of acomplished something. It's a feeling I really don't get from doing anything else. No matter how well I do at work or anything, it never beats the positive feeling of going to school. I'm probably going to go to school forever, fyi.
I'm freaking out about my final at work too, I seriously don't know shit about computers or the programs we use and if I don't get an 80% on my final i'll be fired. Part of me thinks it's going to be ok, but I still can't not think of how I could easily not pass. I shouldn't stress of stupid shit like this, since it's open book, note, and computer. But, whatever.

Holiday
All holiday's do lately is piss me off...except Christmas, New Years, and Thanksgiving, obviously. I have two reasons for this. 1) Mail doesn't come on holiday's. My New Found Glory- Sticks on Stones (hopefully) red vinyl would be in my hands right now if the mail did come on holidays. 2) Every place is so busy and it takes like two hours to drive anywhere because of traffic. I wish everyone was at school and work except me everyday. I wish everyday was like when I get out of school at noon and can go anywhere I want and not have to wait in stupid lines or sit in traffic forever and actually get my mail.
I also got Uggs today, fuck off.

Ain't no such things as halfway crooks
I've been listening to Mobb Deep a lot lately, I'm way into it. All this hip-hop I've been listening to lately makes me wish I grew up in New York City, instead of lame Tucson. I was thinking the other day, "what would I rap about if I was a rapper?" I couldn't think of anything, since I don't really do anything that would be worth rapping about. Maybe if I grew up in NYC I'd have something to write about. I blame my parents for this post. All I can think about lately is the 90's. It's seriously overtaking my brain, all I want is all of those Star Wars Pepsi cans on my shelf, I wish I still had mine. I wish I was 12 again, so I could make the right choices with collectables I had in the 90's.
I got some new stuff in the mail today. I got a red Crooks and Castles "flag lock up" tee, it's pretty cool. Commonwealth is a good place, they have a lot of good clothes and they upgraded my shirt to overnight for free! I wish Tucson has botiques that sold good clothes, not just Hugo Boss and old man stuff.

An Inconvenient Truth
So that Sticks and Stones record I bought the other day is driving me crazy. I was only able to buy it because I was sent a second chance offer on e-bay. They sent it to me like an hour after I lost the auction, which kind of makes me nervous, because yesterday I read the fine print on the offer. It says, "second chance offers are sent because the winning bidder couldn't pay or the seller has a duplicate." In any other setting this wouldn't be a problem, but since it's vital I get a red copy, which was what the auction was for (i'm pretty sure), it is a problem. New Found Glory pressed 2,000 copys of Sticks and Stones total but they numbered each one on the back, it's not like normal records where the band does all the records seperate when numbering. The first 200 are blue, the next 100 are red, and the final 1700 are white according to the research I did before bidding. This is a problem because if the company I bought it from had another copy, it could be any number, not the one that was in the original auction. It makes me even more uneasy because they sent me the second chance offer so quickly, usually it takes over 48 hours for them to know 100% that the winning bidder isn't going to pay. I really hope they just cancelled his bid or he said he couldn't pay because I need the record in the original auction. If not, I hope they have a return policy.
Wooooooooow!
Fuck my neighbors. They're seriously the biggest pieces of shit on Earth. They have three dogs who they always keep in their backyard and don't do anything when their dogs bark. Their dogs wake me up every single morning around 8 a.m. Then I fall back asleep and they wake me up again at 10 a.m. every single day. My neighbors are never even home either and they just let their dogs wild out. It's so goddamn annoying because I still don't have school until next week and I stay up until about 3 a.m. every night and get woken up so early...every day. I love dogs, but fuck theirs. If you're never even home and always keep your dogs outside, why would you even buy them? It doesn't make any sense to me.
On a better note, I finally bought that "Bad Artist Copy Good Artist Steal" shirt last night. Ever since Karmaloop had those crazy sales that shirt has been impossible to get because it's always sold out in a medium. I've even had it in my cart before then gone to pay for it on paypal and it's sold out before I can complete my transaction. Last night though for some weird reason they only had a medium in stock, so I snagged that up as fast as I could. I checked back today and it's completely sold out, so I must have got one of the last ones.

Hopefully.
I think I won New Found Glory's, Sticks and Stones on red vinyl today. I really hope I did, since the record is still sealed, it's hard to tell for sure. I did a lot of research though with the number on the back, so hopefully I am right. If i'm not i'll have to re-sell it since I already have the two other colors. I'm pretty confident though and it went for a lot, so I'm thinking other people may have known it was on red as well. In case you don't know Sticks and Stones was pressed on three colors: red, blue, and white. A total of 2,000 records were pressed, only 100 are red, 200 are blue, and 1700 are white. Red is obviously very hard to come across. I really, really hope it's red. If it is I will only need the Self Titled 12" picture disc with the skateboard, the two From the Screen to Your Stereo 10", the yellow pre-order Tip of the Iceberg 7", and the blue friends press Tip of the Iceberg 7". I doubt i'll find the friends press, but i've seen it on e-bay before so hopefully it comes around again.

Good night
Tonight was fun. I go to a lot of shows and dance & hit people a lot but tonight was the first time anyone ever came up to me and said, "I'm scared of you." I was pretty stoked, the dude was basically my size and him and all of his friends could have definitely beat me up for sure, but suprisingly they were afraid of me, hahaha. Damn, my life rules.
I also found out this morning about probably the best show ever.
New Found Glory
Bayside
Set Your Goals
Verse
March 25th at The Marquee then again on May 10th at The Rialto.
I can't wait! Mainly just NFG and Bayside, but Verse and SYG are pretty good too. This isn't exactly a dream show for me, but it's pretty close. I wish Alkaline Trio and Dashboard Confessional were playing, then it would for sure!
Last thing, new Crooks and Castles shirts are pretty great. Peep it at Karmaloop.

OMG!
From Bridge 9 Records,
"Bridge Nine Records, Epitaph Records and New Found Glory are proud to announce that Bridge Nine will be issuing (under license from Epitaph) the gatefold LP of New Found Glory’s upcoming album Not Without A Fight-being released by Epitaph March 10, 2009. In the past decade, New Found Glory became a household name, releasing six timeless pop-punk full-lengths, three of which went gold. After years of working with both indie and major labels, New Found Glory has spent the last 12 months doing exactly what they want to do, on their own terms. 2008’s Tip Of The Iceberg EP was a short burst that featured the band returning to their roots of catchy, infectious melodies and a hardcore edge, and was hailed by press as a return to form for the gold-selling punk band. Absolutepunk stated that for fans of New Found Glory, the EP “gets [you] pumped for the band's next studio album, as this release is just the tip of the iceberg.” The band's upcoming release, Not Without A Fight, is New Found Glory at their best. Recorded with Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus producing and mixed by long-time confidant Neal Avron (who mixed the gold-selling Sticks and Stones and Catalyst), Not Without A Fight was recorded during the summer of 2008 with the band calling the shots-no label, no one breathing down their necks- just the band writing and recording the record they wanted to record. Label manager Karl Hensel stated, “Working with New Found Glory throughout 2008 was an awesome experience. What started out as a four-song cover 7” has evolved into a friendship and respect between us and the band. On top of that, being able to work closely with Epitaph is a huge honor. Epitaph created the modern independent punk label template. We have really enjoyed working with New Found Glory and we're incredibly grateful that both NFG and Epitaph have allowed us to do what we do alongside them."
"Now...for the unofficial announcementThe new New Found Glory LP Not Without A Fight is awesome. We're glad to have the opportunity to work with the band once again and more news coming soon... "
I can't wait, the new song they posted on their Myspace is so good. There's no doubt in my mind this album won't be great.

Cool.
I spent my evening playing Guitar Hero and Nintendo Wii. I forgot how fun both of those are. I think I might be getting sick, so on my way home I bought a half gallon of orange juice at Walgreens. I feel like i'm going to throw up now, but I think i'll keep drinking it. I hate being fucking sick more than anything, so i'll do almost anything to avoid getting sick. Even if I do get sick I will have had a good healthy streak, it's been almost two years since I've been really sick.
I'm glad my mom made it back from her trip safely, and she brought me chocolate popcorn! Stoked. I'm going to watch Good Will Hunting now.

I was driving to Chipotle today for lunch and my fuel pump died while I was in a turn lane. REAL COOL.
Good thing I am friends with awesome people who help me since I don't know shit about how cars work! : )
I'm glad it's the weekend and my 10 Deep shirt came in the mail today.

Fun Night
Tonight was fun, I saw Harms Way and Convicted, and got some new records. It was fun moshing with all of my friends again, it felt like two or so years ago when we would all go see Knights of the Abyss every week and kill everyone together. Also, the hot tub I go to is finally working again, so add it to the list of awesome things.

About last night...
New Years Eve was without a doubt one of the most fun events of my life. In fact, the entire day was great. I woke up around 10 a.m. and took a 90 minute shower, then I hoped on E-bay and finally won New Found Glory's Nothing Gold Can Stay on gold vinyl. I have tried so many times to win this record in the past and finally acheived victory and won it. I spent a total of $92 on it, but in my eyes, it is worth every penny. Next, I went on a hunt for a Mt. Dew t-shirt to wear to the New Years Eve party. I was under the impression it would be easy to find one, too bad I was wrong. I went to Savers first. They did not have any. I then tried Target, they didn't have any either. I was just about to go home when I had some odd feeling that Wal-Mart may have Mt. Dew shirts because Wal-Mart sells stupid shit no one needs or even wants. Just as I suspected, they did! I had to buy it in a stupid gift box with a hat though, but whatever, I still got an awesome Mt. Dew shirt. I decided to be a good person and donate the Mt. Dew hat in one of those clothing donation centers that looks like a house.
After that, I went home and grabbed a pair of short shorts then left for the party. When I got there it was sort of dead, a few friends were there, but not a whole lot of people. So, I went to the store to buy an Arizona Iced Tea. I came back and the first band was playing. They did an Impossibles cover, which ruled. More bands played and more friends showed up, it was turing into a great night. Run With the Hunted played an all cover set which included Suicide File, Inside Out, and Jawbreaker! I was so excited they covered Boat Dreams from the Hill by Jawbreaker and not Boxcar or something every band does. There was also Project X and Integrity covers by other bands too. The night was crazy fun, but it was about to get a lot crazier. Before Hour of the Wolf played I went to my car and put on my shorts and Mt. Dew shirt. I had to get extreme looking. Hour of the Wolf covered Andrew WK's I Get Wet the entire way through. It was seriously the most nuts thing I had ever seen. I jumped off speakers onto people and did all kinds of other crazy shit, there was confetti thrown everywhere to the point where you couldn't even see the floor, dudes were naked and drunk and partying hard, firecrackers were going off in the living room, everyone was singing along and having a good time. Everytime Hour of the Wolf plays The Gnarwhal House I think that it can't get any more crazier, but they always prove me wrong. It was so much fun, a little weird at times, but a lot of fun. New Years Eve ruled and was definitly the best New Years I have ever experienced. 2009 is already off to a great start, I hope it stays this way.

So this is the new year
so this is the new year
and I don't feel any different
the clanking of crystal
explosions off in the distance
so this is the new year and I have no resolutions
for self-assigned penance for problems with easy solutions
so everybody put your best suit or dress on
let's make believe that we are wealthy for just this once
lighting firecrackers off on the front lawn as thirty dialogues bleed into one
I wish the world was flat like the old days then I could travel just by folding a map
no more airplanes, or speedtrains, or freeways
there'd be no distance that can hold us back
there'd be no distance that could hold us back
so this is the new year
